I am an advocate of simple, consistent and intuitive designs.
With over 3 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Product Innovation from Carnegie Mellon University, I am a UX practitioner and design thinker passionate about creating impactful product experiences. My approach, rooted in simplicity, consistency, and empathy, seamlessly transforms customer insights, user needs, and business priorities into intuitive solutions. By combining design thinking, user research, and strategic design, I craft tailored experiences that resonate deeply with users. Inspired by everyday explorations, I believe in the power of simplification and ensuring every design step is meaningful and purposeful.
Know me a little better here
I began my design journey at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology, Bangalore, in 2016. My most recent experience was with Hyphenova, CA, where I led the development of a comprehensive design system for a creator-focused platform, significantly enhancing user satisfaction and engagement. Before that, I worked with Tata Elxsi Ltd, Bangalore, as well as an onsite consultant at GE Healthcare, focusing on projects related to personal safety and medical devices used in hospitals. These roles involved delivering end-to-end solutions through design research, usability audits, interaction design, and design documentation. Prior to Elxsi, I had brief tenures at Pensaar Design Studio and RMZ Corporations, both in Bangalore. My passion lies at the intersection of design, business, and technology, which led me to pursue a Master of Integrated Innovation for Products and Services at Carnegie Mellon University.
I was born and raised in Gujarat, India, where I grew up surrounded by art, fashion, and culture. If you guys come to my city, Ahmedabad, I will take you around to see some cool exposed brick architectural walls, and we can eat some nice mezze platter together. I used to read a lot as a child and wished for more books. For the last couple of years, I have only been buying books and feeling guilty about not reading them. The time I used to spend on reading, now I spend on watching (g)old cinema, gardening and listening to a lot of music.
What people say about me
Some of my quirks
I am obsessed with symmetry.
I collect a lot of stationery, especially journals, which I never use but only preserve.
I like to cook for others more than for myself.
I drink way too many cups of chai (tea) in a day. A cup of tea symbolizes “getting started” to me.
If not work, you will usually find me sitting and reflecting in the cozy corners, writing poetry, practising taekwondo (very recently), participating in workshops, teaching my NGO kids, or performing in dramas and dance shows.
